Art Brokerage specializes in the orignal photographs of depression photographer Margaret Bourke-White. B. 1904-1971. Margaret was famous for being a photographer and a photojournalist. She wrote an autobiographical book called Portrait of Myself. Margaret studied photography as a hobby when she was a young women. She published a book called You Have Seen Their Faces in 1937. It became well known for the pictures of people during the depression. Margaret wrote two more books called North of the Danube and Say is this the U.S.A. Margaret was the first women journalist to be allowed to work in combat zones by in the U.S. army during World War II. She was the first photographer for Fortune Magazine. Margaret has famous drawings in many NY museums. Margaret most famous photograph was published on the cover of the first Life Magazine.
