She also has been the recipient of two Roscoe Awards for Innovation in Textiles in the applied arts. Kindler's work is held in prestigious museum and private collections throughout the country. Of her own work, Kindler says, My work deals with the currents of sociological interactions. Whether I am focusing on a more autobiographical subject or cultural trend, I endeavor to lay bare the common threads of the human experience, allowing my own observations to inform my work. Her work reveals both conscious and unconscious thoughts typically in response to current or past events that have impacted her life on a personal level, or as she interprets the greater impact to the overall social community.
